3.    What should I do if the bridge-enabled computer or other wired, Ethernet device will not communicate with another wireless-enabled device such as a computer or printer?

To resolve this, check the following:

• Make sure the wireless-enabled device is on the same wireless network as the computer or other wired, Ethernet device connected to the bridge.
• Make sure that the same wireless network name (SSID) is used for all devices on the wireless network.
• Make sure all devices are on the same IP network, using compatible IP addresses.

To resolve this, check the following:

• The password is case-sensitive. Make sure that you are using the correct case(s) when entering the password.
• If you forgot your password, you can reset the bridge to its factory defaults.

6.    What does it mean if the Power LED of my device flashes purple?

There are three (3) instances where the Power LED would flash purple:

While pressing the Reset button – After pressing the button for five (5) seconds, the Power LED would flash purple to indicate that the reset has been performed.
While the device performs initial setup – As soon as you power ON your bridge, the Power LED would flash purple for about one (1) minute. After the given time, the LED will stabilize and flash blue.
• During firmware update – The LED will flash purple to indicate that the upgrade is in progress.

NOTE: If in any case the Power LED still flashes purple but is not related to the situations mentioned above, this could mean that your device’s firmware is corrupted.

To resolve this, you can perform a firmware re-flashBy updating your firmware with a version similar to what you are currently using. A firmware re-flash will help in fixing the script of your device’s current firmware. To learn how, click here.

7.    What should I do if the changes to Wireless Multimedia (WMM) settings keep on reverting to “Background”?
