NOTE:  If your modem’s power cord is plugged into an electrical outlet that is controlled by a wall switch, make sure that the switch is turned ON.
  • Check if one end of the ethernet cable is properly connected to the ETH port of the modem and to a computer.
  • if the modem is connected to a splitter and it does not work, remove the splitter and connect the modem connected directly to the cable input.  If the modem functions properly, the cable signal splitter may be defective and may need to be replaced.
  • Make sure that the modem is powered ON.  Once you have verified proper physical connections, check the lights of the modem.

Check the lights

The light activity of your modem is an indicator of the status of your connection.  Once you have verified that there is an active internet connection and you have connected the modem to a computer, make sure that the lights are lit.

Powercycle the modem and the computer

If you are still experiencing difficulties accessing the internet powercycle  the modem and the computer by disconnecting and reconnecting from the power source.

You should now be able to access the internet without any problems.
